2025 DX Marathon Closed
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I want to be the first to thank all of you for your participation in the 2025 DX Marathon program. The submission window is now closed.
As stated many times prior, no late submissions will be accepted. Our new submission tool allowing participants to submit all year long
appears to have avoided a “last minute rush” for almost all participants.
The good news is that participation in the DX Marathon made an all time high increasing over 2024 submissions by more than 35%! My vision
has been for the past few years and into the future to continue to grow at “double digit rates” thereby making the DX Marathon the fastest
growing DX program in our hobby. My sincere thank you for all of you for participating and spreading the word to your friends and club members.
We are expecting and will be targeting another growth year in 2026 so keep doing what you are doing.
I expect that this growth is being fueled by our recognition program put in place this year guaranteeing all participants will receive a
certificate of participation listing their key accomplishments. The first of its kind “DX Sprint” also brought lots of new participants
into the year long program. I know there are many clubs now at their monthly meetings having agenda items to include the DX Marathon update.
All members bring their new contacts (DXCC and zone) to each monthly meeting updated progress for the entire club on working DX.
We should have the 2026 submission tool up and running shortly so give us a little time.
Your administration team is now going into a very busy season of scoring. It will begin with the posting of “Claimed” scores in a week to 10 days.
We will then take the next 6 weeks plus or minus to dig into the scoring process. We will be going through the validation process checking
submissions. The final verified scores and 2025 program results will be out on or before April 1, 2026.
I wish all the best of luck in 2026. Cycle 2026 is still alive and well albeit declining but there should be lots of DX out there to chase! Happy New Year, Mark WC3W .,.,_
